DETECTING AND INTERPRETING LANDSCAPE TRANSFORMATIONS – Summer school

ishot-124

The study of historical landscapes has been radically renewed through new theoretical-methodological perspectives and the introduction of increasingly sophisticated investigative techniques.
Within the context of a more general research program concerning the area between the Alps and the Adriatic islands (IRAAHL), the object of this Summer School is learning how
to use all available sources to study the dynamics of landscapes through time in order to reconstruct their environmental, social
and economic evolution.
This Summer School, which is proposed as a kind of ongoing inter and transdisciplinary encounter between scholars from various European nations, will present the most innovative aspects of the research on Historical Landscapes. The aim is to provide Degree, Master, PhD, young researchers and professionals an opportunity of high-level theorical and pratical training, in line with the most innovative European research and its practical application in fieldwork.
