Dopo 10 anni ritorna a Trieste il Meeting nazionale degli utenti GRASS e GFOSS che si svolgerà nelle giornate del 15-16-17 febbraio 2012 presso l’Università degli Studi di Trieste (aula Magna dell’edificio H3).
Il meeting sarà aperto agli utenti GRASS e in generale a tutti quelli che usano software e dati geografici liberi. Per sottolineare l’importanza dell’interoperabilità e dell’integrazione tra i programmi, si vuole lasciare spazio anche ad interventi riguardanti geodatabase, webgis e pacchetti statistici.
Il convegno vuole essere nuovamente un importante punto di incontro per la comunità italiana attiva nel settore e per i nuovi potenziali utenti.
Nell’ambito del meeting si svolgerà l’assemblea annuale dei Soci GFOSS.
Il meeting è organizzato dal Dipartimento di Scienze della Vita dell’Università degli Studi di Trieste in collaborazione con l’Ispettorato agricoltura e foreste di Gorizia e Trieste e con il patrocinio del Comune di Tavagnacco.

After 10 years Triest hosts again the national GRASS and GFOSS meeting, which will take place at the University of Trieste from Wednesday, February 15 until Friday, February 17, 2012 in the main lecture hall in building H3.
The meeting will not be open just to GRASS users but in general to everyone using free software and public geographical data. There will be room also for lectures on geodatabases, webgis and statistical packages, to enhance the importance of integration between different software. The aim is to be once again a meeting place for the active italian community but also a chance for new users to get to know the possibilities offered by the software.
The annual GFOSS assembly will take place in this occasion.
The Meeting is organized by the “Dipartimento di Scienze della Vita” of the University of Triest with the help of the “Ispettorato agricoltura e foreste” of Gorizia and Trieste and the sponsorship of the Municipality of Tavagnacco.
